Remember Tamar Braxton?
Well, the brash, and completely ghetto-fab little sister of Toni Braxton who made a name for herself on the reality television shows “Braxton Family Values,” and “Tamar & Vince,” has finally, after years of trying to break into the industry, released a single of her very own. The track titled, “Love and War,” finds the youngest Braxton sister crooning about the ups-and-downs of an intimate relationship above a slow-roasting urban instrumental complete with doo-wop inspired snaps and earth-shaking bass notes. Come to think of it, it’s actually kind of perfect for making love on that bear-skin rug.
“We made it this far, for better or worst, I wanna feel it even if it hurts / If I gotta cry, to get to the other side, let’s go because we’re gonna survive,” she belts on the song’s emotional pre-chorus.
After many listens, I really only have two words: VOCAL BEAST!
Needless to say, the track is fucking-phenomenal-dot-org!
Now stop pussyfootin’ around and take a listen below as Tamar shows off her powerful pipes, which will no doubt conjure comparisons to the likes of her older sister Toni, Keyshia Cole, and yes, even Mariah Carey.
As much as I hate to admit it her voice is THAT good.
