Tuesday June 12th, 2012 20:46 Britney Remains Best X-Factor Judge Of All Time…

…And the show’s second season hasn’t even started yet!

Check out this newly surfaced, unspliced reel from the X-Factor auditions in Kansas City. There’s about seven-and-a-half uninterrupted minutes of pure Britney fabulousness (LA Reid, Demi, and Louis Walsh are also present, but who cares?)! It’s so refreshing to see my girl looking somewhat comfortable in front of the cameras again. Plus, she is pretty well spoken and offers up a heaping amount of thoughtful answers to the interviewers questions. Seriously though, the cameos by ProfessionalneyGorgeousney, and Engageney are overwhelming! Thankfully, Gum-smackney was nowhere to be seen.

All hail GODNEY!

Monday May 14th, 2012 18:08 Britney Shines As The New Face Of X-Factor

Moments ago Miss Britney Spears was sworn in as an X-Factor judge alongside Demi Lovato, LA Reid, and Simon Cowell at Fox studios in New York.

Look at those locks! That tan! That body!

And the best part? When asked to make a statement, Brit-brit sounded somewhat intelligent! Using her deep, Does-She-Have-A-Coldney-Or-Is-She-In-Fact-Constipatedney Good Morning America promo voice, The Holy Spearit shared, “Well first of all, I’m so excited about this whole experience. It’s gonna be so much fun and so different from anything I’ve ever done, and I’m ready to find a true star.”

I don’t think there is much to say besides: Iconicney!

I can’t believe this is actually happening.

Viva la X-Factor!

Tuesday October 25th, 2011 14:22 Demi Lovato Sings National Anthem At Game 5 Of The World Series

Hmmm.

Demi Lovato took a shot at the National Anthem at Game 5 of the World Series last night, in which the Texas Rangers overtook the St. Louis Cardinals with a score of 4-2!

The Dallas-born actress and singer wore a red Ranger’s jersey to show her support for the hometown team while delivering a somewhat mediocre rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner at the Arlington, Texas stadium. Lovato‘s vocals weren’t great but they weren’t terrible either, and hey, at least she didn’t fuck up the words. She seemed cool, calm, and collected and looked ravishing as well. Overall, it I would say it was a successful perfomance.

Kudos to you girl!

And if you’re into that sort of thing make sure to check out what could be the final game in the series this Wednesday night as the Rangers lead the Cardinals 3-2!

Monday August 22nd, 2011 17:37 Demi Lovato Gifts Fans With “Unbroken” Album Cover

On August 19th Demi Lovato took to her Twitter to reveal the official cover art for her upcoming album titled Unbroken

“I have THE BEST FANS EVER!!! Thank you so much for all the early Birthday wishes…. To show my appreciation I thought I would give you a little present, The Disney starlet tweeted.

She looks so gorgeous and healthy but the lipstick is a little too dark for my liking. Plus she’s lookin’ like a clone of Jennifer Tilly. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I think it could have been just a tad more inspired.

What do you think?

Thursday August 18th, 2011 22:51 Demi Lovato Slays At VH1 Do Somethin’ Awards

Wow! Excuse me while I remove my jaw from the floor.

I’ve never really been impressed with the talent that is Demi Lovato until this very moment. Watch as the Disney princess delivers a truly riveting performance of her single, Skyscraper, at this years VH1′s Do Somethin’ Awards. She looks stunning, her vocals are perfectly shaken with honest conviction, and she rises like a skyscraper for the final emotional moments of the number–FLAWLESS!

Congrats girl! You’ve definitely gained my respect.

Check out the emotional live performance above!

Thursday July 14th, 2011 12:20 Video Premiere: Demi Lovato, “Skyscraper”

Okay, okay.

So I wasn’t a huge fan of the song at first but the music video has definitely helped me appreciate the passion behind the track. In the clip Demi trades in high fashion and expensive sets for a flowing flower dress and nothing but the desert sun. What’s most notable though, is the sheer emotion exuded by Ms. Lovato as she pleads with the camera and walks over broken glass–the tears rolling down her porcelain face. All in all it’s a beautiful bare minimum metaphor for the recent struggles in her life and a much needed compliment to the overall feel of the ballad.

Check out the music video for Skyscraper, above.

Thoughts?

Tuesday July 12th, 2011 23:51 Demi Lovato Reveals Predictable Post-Rehab Single, “Skyscraper”

Demi Lovato has just premiered her post-rehab single, Skyscaper. It’s all kinds of somber and I couldn’t decide if she sounded great or horrible, but I guess it’s a meaningful endeavor given her recent situation. I’m just glad she’s on the straight and narrow again and moving forward with her life, I had just hoped for something a little–I don’t know, better?

Unfortunately the minimal power-ballad reminds me of the lead musical number in an animated Disney flick. Just close your eyes and you can totally imagine Pocahontas or some other Disney princess running through the sun soaked fields and plunging from the mountain crusted waterfalls with her animal cronies and her basket of fresh picked berries.

I understand that Ms. Lovato IS a Disney princess, but it’s all too predictable, and despite the chilling emotional delivery the song is just mediocre.

Check it out for yourself, above!
