Saturday September 24th, 2011 15:39 Dear Dev…

Dear Dev,

Today I took my little tush to Target expecting to find your new, highly enjoyable debut disc The Night The Sun Came Up. After literally tearing apart the entire electronics section and hurling a few expletives towards scared onlookers I stormed out of there faster than a coked out Lindsay Lohan with a Fendi full of shoplifted goods. Did you know they carry Selena-fucking-Gomez, Kidz Bop, and Now 7,389, but they fail to carry your amazingly groove-worthy LP that features one of the biggest hits of the summer, In The Dark? Hell they even had their “new releases” section crafted entirely from unsold copies of Floptina Aguilera‘s Bionic. What gives Target? This coupled with last years funding of anti-gay political figure Tom Emmer was one thing, but no Dev? No fucking Dev?! You’ve crossed the line this time ass-holes!

That is all.

We Heart Pop.

P.S. Click HERE for a free stream of Dev‘s entire new set, The Night The Sun Came Up. Make sure to check out stand-out tracks: In My Trunk, Me, Lightspeed, In The Dark, and the alternatively tinged Take Her From You.

All stand-outs aside, the production value is unique, the delivery is heartfelt, raw, and respectable (although sometimes a little whack), and (maybe) most importantly – it’s just plain fun! If you like sexy music, then you will thoroughly enjoy Dev‘s musical debut.

Ok, I’m done – I swear!
